Bye Bye Bocas

Watching the morning sun glisten off the ocean is something I will always remember.  I will miss the dirty little town of Bocas so much.  Bocas and the people. I have met here provided me with insurmountable amounts of knowledge about lifestyles and cultures around the globe that I know I will use in my next four months of travel.  After today, I will be on my way to Peru to work with the Villa La Paz foundation where I will be volunteering in a children's sick home.

To all of my new friends reading about my travels, please let me know if you have any recommendations on places to eat or things to do in Lima, Paris, Uganda, and Bangalore! I would love to follow in your footsteps.

Side note - I find that whenever I set off to another location and have to travel for hours on end, I get slightly anxious thinking about what is to come.  I've realized that a good coping mechanism for me has been to plan things out and write down all of my tasks for the next day.  Whenever I'm alone in a new city, I plan my days and think of what I could do for myself to make the days amazing.  When I do this it sort of puts my mind at ease about where I need to be and what I need to do.  Many people come across some level of anxiety at some point or another.  The most important part of battling this anxiety, I think, is to find your comfort zone and take advantage of any techniques that work for you.  When you find your coping mechanism, try to stick with it.
